This accessory design project explores the connection between food and human evolution, focusing on consciousness as a defining trait of humanity. Inspired by Terence McKenna’s Stoned Ape Theory, it examines how psilocybin-containing mushrooms may have influenced human development by enhancing perception, creativity, and communication, potentially shaping early religious beliefs. Contemporary research further suggests that psilocybin supports brain development through neurogenesis and synaptogenesis. Created for a performance, this wearable art piece embodies the transformative impact of food and psychedelics on human consciousness and evolution. Models: Sara Giménez & Elda
