Dis-gender is an experimental textile project. It starts from the body and its study from a gender perspective.
The aim of this project is to dismantle ste-reotypes, to go beyond the feminine and the masculine and to show the beauty of diversity and the non-normative. This is exposed through 5 textile works, the prostheses, which combine symbols of femininity and normative masculinity, to achieve an androgynous aesthetic. The prostheses represent the most sexualised parts of our body, subject to gender ste-reotypes.
